Web events feature insight from hospital and health system leaders, address learning challenges across industry

NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Setting the pace in leadership development, Skillsoft’s Leadership in Healthcare webinar series features prominent healthcare industry experts’ insights on leadership development and learning strategy. The series, which focuses on learning trends and challenges unique to the healthcare industry, boasts an impressive lineup of hospital and healthcare executives from across the industry. On June 4 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. EDT, the series continues with a webinar featuring organizational behavior expert and author Nicole Bendaly on the knowledge, tools and techniques required to develop a high performance, team-based leadership culture to drive exceptional patient care in healthcare. Registration is open online here.

The Leadership in Healthcare series addresses learning challenges across the industry as experienced firsthand by hospital and health system executives, providing audiences with fresh insight on leadership and learning strategy across an ever-changing landscape. This complimentary webinar series, which is available to the general public, further cements the company’s position as a pioneer in the field of technology-delivered learning with a long history of innovation and delivery of solutions for its customers worldwide, ranging from global enterprises, government, and education to mid-sized and small businesses.

“The operations and leadership strategy of the healthcare industry is quickly changing, creating a talent and leadership deficit which healthcare providers are desperate to fill,” said John Ambrose, senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business, Skillsoft. “We are thrilled to be able to leverage our experience in the leadership field across all industries, including healthcare, and look forward to supporting similar industry changes in the future.”

The series kicked off with a webinar featuring a panel Q&A session on the trials and tribulations of implementing a leadership training program in a health system setting, which is now available in an on-demand archive: “Leadership Programs in Healthcare; a Panel Q&A Session.” Moderated by Patrick Veroneau, founder of Emery Leadership Group, the webinar featured a discussion between Barbara Monegan, director of talent management and organization development at Christiana Care Health Systems, and Ben Quintana, program manager for leadership development at St. Luke’s Health System, on success and program measurement as well as business impact goals related to leadership training.

This week’s event, which is part of Skillsoft’s popular Conversations in Leadership series, a web-based conversation moderated by Skillsoft's leadership expert Shawn Hunter, is titled “The High Performance Healthcare Team, 7 Requirements for Excellence in Patient Care.” Organizational behavior expert and author Nicole Bendaly will define what constitutes a high-performing, patient-focused team, offer guidance on common healthcare leadership challenges, and recommend ways for leaders to affect change at every level of the organization.

To follow, Patrick Veroneau will again host an August 22 webinar featuring Debra Hamilton, program manager, leadership development at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Titled “Leadership Programs in Healthcare; Spotlight on Children's Hospital of Philadelphia,” the webinar will discuss the process of implementing a leadership training program and the business impact goals. Registration will be open at least one month prior to the event.
