SkillSoft Kicks Off 2010 By Winning Two Awards from Elearning! Magazine

For the Fifth Consecutive Year, Publication's Readers Praise SkillSoft

NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SkillSoft PLC (Nasdaq: SKIL), a leading SaaS provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small to medium-sized businesses, today announced that Elearning! Magazine has recognized the company with two distinguished awards based on reader sentiment. SkillSoft has been named the provider of the Best IT Content for the SkillChoice IT Collection and the provider of the Best Soft Skills Training for the SkillChoice Business Collection for 2009.

The 2009 awards mark the fifth consecutive year that SkillSoft has been named a Best of Elearning! Award honoree and SkillSoft is one of only four companies to have been recognized every year since the program's inception. Additionally, SkillSoft is being recognized for the second year in a row as an honoree in both the Best IT Content category and for Best Soft Skills Training.

"We value these awards because they're a reflection of what real customers think and they serve to validate the effectiveness of our content development methodologies," said Julie Ogilvie, Vice President of Corporate Marketing for SkillSoft. "Our products have been developed from the ground up with customer involvement, so this is a sign that we're hitting the mark as far as product quality and service is concerned."

Award winners are chosen by readers nominating products and solutions via online balloting from Elearning! Magazine. The program received 1,755 nominations, or twice the amount received last year. The December/January issue of Elearning! Magazine will also highlight SkillSoft's wins.

"The Best of Elearning! Awards program is the only reader's choice awards in the market and they offer a great barometer on the pulse of the learning industry," said Catherine Upton, group publisher of eLearning! Magazine. "Reader recognition is growing in importance now that more companies opt to implement e-learning."
