SkillSoft Wins Association of Rehabilitation Programs in Computer Technology Outstanding Business Partner Award
SkillSoft's Wins ARPCT's First National Award in a Unanimous Vote
NASHUA, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SkillSoft, a leading SaaS provider of e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small to medium-sized businesses announced today that it has been recognized as the 2011 Outstanding Business Partner Award by The Association of Rehabilitation Programs in Computer Technology (ARPCT), an international organization that provides top training and placement services for persons with disabilities.
The Outstanding Business Partner Award is one of four ARPCT awards which were judged by ARPCT's executive committee. This is the first year ARPCT has issued a national Outstanding Business Partner Award and SkillSoft was selected as the winner out of the hundreds of business partners ARPCT member agencies work with.
"We're thrilled to receive ARPCT's first national Outstanding Business Partner Award," said John Ambrose, senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business, SkillSoft. "We're proud that our solutions have been helpful to ARPCT's mission of training and preparing people with disabilities for employment."
For more than ten years, SkillSoft has provided ARPCT with SkillSoft's IT Skills, Desktop Skills, and Business Skills libraries which offer an array of contents, topics and flexible delivery technologies to support the full range of formal and on-demand learning needs of organizations. The materials are distributed to ARPCT's rehabilitation agencies nationwide and are used to teach students the topics and technologies they need to help them find and prepare for employment.
"SkillSoft was a unanimous decision to receive this award," said Dorothy Kret, president and CEO, ARPCT. "More than 13,800 ARPCT students across the United States and Canada have benefited from SkillSoft's support and generosity. Their user-friendly system has given access and opportunity to people with disabilities who would otherwise not have had the resources to succeed. Our partnership with SkillSoft has been a long and successful one, and we look forward to working with them for many more years."
